| All three Reifenhäuser extruder
types are suitable choices for extrusion
of sheets and plates, depending on the
application. |

Single-screw extruder
The single-screw extruder is
suitable for all raw materials
that are available in pellet
form, for example polyamide,
soft PVC, HD-PE, PP, etc. For
sheet and plate extrusion, a
special screw has been developed
that enables high output at a
low melt temperature. The
extruder is equipped with a
venting device, depending on the
type of raw material.

Bitruder
The Bitruder, with its
counter-rotating twin-screw, is
especially suitable for PVC in
powder or pellet form. As a new
feature, the Bitruder can also
process a mix of polymer and
wood flour.

Reitruder
The Reitruder with
co-rotating twin-screw is
suitable for manufacturing
highly filled plates. The
special advantage: The
intermediate step normally
required for manufacturing a
compound is not needed. Only the
Reitruder makes it possible to
add fill materials, flame
retardants etc. at various
locations in the machine. These
materials are then homogenously
mixed into the raw material.
