Areas of application
Pipes
 |
| All three Reifenhäuser extruder
types are suitable choices for extrusion
of pipes, depending on the raw material
that is used. |

|
 |
Single-screw extruder
The single-screw extruder is
suitable for all raw materials
that
are in pellet form, for example
polyamides, soft PVC, HDPE, PP,
etc. For pipe extrusion, a
special screw has been developed
that enables high output at low
melt temperatures.

Bitruder
The Bitruder, with its
counter-rotating twin-screw, is
especially suitable for hard PVC
in powder or pellet form.
Special multi-layer pipe
die-heads can be used to
manufacture foam cores for
multi-layer PVC pipes, by adding
special foaming agents.

Reitruder
The Reitruder with
co-rotating twin-screw is
suitable for manufacturing
highly filled pipes. The special
advantage: The intermediate step
normally required for
manufacturing a compound is not
needed. Only the Reitruder makes
it possible to add fill
materials, flame retardants etc.
at various locations in the
machine. These materials are
then homogenously mixed into the
raw material.
