Careers at Reifenhäuser
Michael Kukla
Personnel Officer
My personal success story as a Reifenhäuser employee is not about climbing a steep career ladder, but rather about the chance I have received to flexibly combine career development, occupational training and private needs.
After I finished my apprenticeship as industrial clerk, I was given the opportunity to start my career in the personnel department. This field of work has already grasped my interest during my apprenticeship, and since I felt more inclined to get practical experience than to study after completion of high school and & vocational school, I happily accepted this offer.
But it was not a case of "just work": True to Reifenhäuser's principle of "Challenge & Encourage", the next few months were filled with diverse seminars to provide me with the necessary basic knowledge.
By now it has become clear to me that only constant development enables career advancement in today's world. To continue combining praxis and theory, I decided to study business economics parallel to my job. In this endeavour, I can count on full support from my employer: I can flexibly adapt my working hours to accomodate the fluctuating time demands of my studies!
Today, my responsibilities cover a spectrum of personnel management tasks from recruiting to handling the company pension scheme, as well as involvement in interdisciplinary projects. In the medium term, my studies will serve as an important rung in climbing the career ladder.
